Role Overview
We are hiring a Head of Delivery & Technology that will be integrated into the BI:PROCSI project team, supporting the definition, implementation and deployment of end-to-end data solutions.
You will know how to investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts, and make disciplined decisions based on available information.
Other responsibilities will be to manage the full lifecycle of some projects you are responsible for, from discovery, estimation, deployment and post-implementation review. You will ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget and of high quality. You will take ownership of project risks, issues and resolutions.
In addition, you will be owning senior/C-Suite relationships with strategic accounts and will support the sales process during the Pre Sales stages. Leading the technical solution design and strategy for prospective clients will be paramount, ensuring the correct solution for clients is positioned in the strongest way possible.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Manage the development and delivery of technical solutions and ensure our technology solutions are fit-for-purpose
- Senior point of contact to engage and provide support to business and technical stakeholders of each project
- Work closely with key business stakeholders, project managers and delivery teams to ensure high quality, on-time projects to an agreed scope, reviewing all technical outputs across key deliverables
- Ensure quality gate criteria is met at each gate, and where this is not met, communicating the impact of this back to the relevant stakeholders
- You will manage all elements of the end-to-end project process, ensuring issues, risks and dependencies are managed appropriately internally and externally
- Assist with the pre-sales and solution design for new projects alongside the wider SMT, sales and technical teams
- Conducting technical feedback sessions with the development and delivery team members on a regular basis
- Being the primary point of contact for all advanced technical strategic problems and solution design, with the ability to communicate these to senior non-technical stakeholders and audiences
Importantly, you must be able to;
- Form partnerships with highly skilled technical resources and work closely to deliver the scope of the project
- Challenging technical decisions
- Understand technical concepts and being able to explain them to business stakeholders at all levels, including non technical stakeholders and C level executives
- Have an understanding of the entire data landscape across multiple technologies and tools and the relationships and complexities between them
- Be able to present updates within client project boards, documentation and presentations
Due to the technical nature of the role, we also expect a good knowledge of or experience of the following technical areas:
- Data Warehousing
- Project Management
- Business Intelligence
- Data Analytics
- Data Engineering
- Data Modelling & Advanced SQL
- Data Strategy, Security and Connectivity
Your Experience
- Extensive experience in a senior management role within a technology consultancy
- Experience running multiple projects and delivery streams
- Strong experience of managing stakeholders at C-Level
- Strong experience and understanding of data solutions – data warehousing, business intelligence, data science etc.
